Winter holiday in the Gsieser Valley in South Tyrol

Cross Country skiing in the Gsieser Valley

The wide and sunny Gsieser Valley is perfectly suited for cross-country skiing and enjoying the beautiful landscape at the same time. The 42 km long well prepared tracks offer skiing opportunities for all the different types of cross-country skiers, for those who love skating, for those who prefer the classical technique, for people who like leisurely speed and sport maniacs find perfect steeper tracks towards the end of the valley.

Il maso Stacherhof in inverno

The secret: endless tracks (in the immediate vicinity of the Stacherhof, you only need a minute and you are on the track) in the middle of the snow-white valley - clear, cold and refreshing air.

In February you can enjoy a big event: the Gsiesertal cross-country marathon: do not miss it!

Ski area Kronplatz in South Tyrol Italy

The Kronplatz ski area boasts more than 90 km of perfectly groomed pistes altogether. State-of-the-art snowmaking systems which can cover up to 85 km of the pistes with snow as well as a fleet of 24 powerful piste groomers and a crew of almost 240 employees make sure that excellent snow conditions are always guaranteed.

A dream of skiers, carvers and snowboarders. The number 1 skiing area of South Tyrol is in the vicinity and can be reached in 20 minutes by car or by gratis ski bus.

You can enjoy the unspoilt life of our small village, but you can also give yourself up to extensive shopping tours, and you do not have to drive far. Whatever you want to do, you will feel at home in our apartments when you come back from your adventures.

Alpine ski touring

Ski touring brings you into perfect harmony with nature. Exchange the ski lift T-bar for skins, experience the profound calm of the mountains, make your own trail in the soft, undisturbed powder snow.

Sledging in South Tyrol in the Gsieser Valley

In South Tyrol sledging is also a more relaxed activity best enjoyed in jolly company: first the climb with the sled ‘on a lead’, then fun and refreshments in a congenial mountain hut, followed by the brisk, exhilarating descent.
